Merge.
Mendon, MI.
(June 1, 2007) – Manchester Industries and ECM Converting Company announced
today that the two companies would be merging. The merger, intended to expand
product offerings and improve service for both companies’ customers began in
February and is expected to be complete by June 1.
ECM is known
for its technology and as an innovator in the industry. It is a test site for Marquip precision sheeter technology and owns the patented
Quick Change® skid insert. ECM is also known for having particularly
strong relationships with its customer base.
Manchester
Industries brings a vast distribution network to the merger with locations in
Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Texas. It also brings a broad product
offering that includes a complete line of recycled, fine printing grade, bleached
board and domestic and offshore papers.
Together the
two leaders will be able to synergize their strengths becoming a major supplier
providing a full line of products and services to its customers on both a
regional and national basis. Because both companies are service oriented,
utilize the same distribution channels and work with the same suppliers, the
merger is expected to be relatively seamless.
